Rolf Maltry

Born in 1954, he lives in Groß-Gerau. For over 40 years, he worked as an employee at a large Darmstadt company. It was only in 2000 that he discovered painting and drawing by chance. Some time later, he took lessons on the basics of perspective and spatial representation. Since then, he has been acquiring further knowledge. When painting with acrylics, he likes to mix the colors wet-in-wet directly on the canvas. For drawings, he uses fineliners to depict shadows through intensive hatching. His preferred medium is landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, and florals.n motifs.

About the artist - Crelala Gallery Report

Sometimes art should just be fun! That's what artist Rolf Maltry said to himself. In 2000, he picked up a fineliner and began drawing. He learned the basics of perspective and continued to work as an autodidact. He loves to mix wet-on-wet on canvas, which is how his acrylic works are created. It will be interesting to see how his work will continue to develop. Landscapes, ocean and cityscapes, as well as floral motifs, are his favorite subjects.
