About Us

UOur artist collective "Artists in Motion" is a group of regional artists who have been presenting their gallery in vacant shop spaces in Darmstadt's city center for five years. Originally founded in the boulevard at Ludwigsplatz, we have been presenting "The Gallery with the Red Sofa" in the Carree basement for almost three years.

In addition to the 12 permanent members, we have given over 70 guest artists the opportunity to exhibit their works since the beginning.

On the occasion of our 5th anniversary we are organizing a Charity auction in favor of the Mother and Child Center at the Darmstadt Clinic, which includes the Gynaecology/Obstetrics Clinic, headed by PD Dr. Sven Ackermann, and the Neonatology Clinic headed by Dr. Georg Frey.

The event will take place in the foyer of the regional council under the patronage of the district president Brigitte Lindscheid.

19 artists each provide one of their artworks free of charge. Auction proceeds will be passed on 100% to the Mother-Child Center for the project "First minutes together at the umbilical cord - for a better start in life".You can find an introduction to the Mother-Child Center and our support project below.

Luisenplatz, Darmstadt's central square, is accessible by bus and tram. Parking is available in various parking garages throughout the city center.

The building has an elevator and accessible restrooms. There is wheelchair access and an elevator via the west entrance.
