Jurgen Frick

I was born in Darmstadt in 1968 and live and work in Griesheim. I discovered drawing late in life. I initially worked as a chef, and later I spent a long time building prototype models. When I took early retirement for health reasons in 2015, I began drawing. Despite having red-green color blindness, I really enjoy working with bold colors. I almost always use a compass. That's why I also call my work compass pictures or circle pictures.

About the artist - Crelala Gallery Report

A creative spirit like Jürgen Frick, who creates detailed mandalas and enchanting fantasy worlds that transport you to entirely new shores and planets. He is a cheerful, personable, and colorful artist who enjoys explaining the ideas behind his creations. Compasses are a recurring feature in his work, and the alien worlds are like distant galaxies made up of patterns, shapes, and colorful creatures, as well as his own unique creations of planets. If you take your time and immerse yourself in his work, there is much to discover. You wonder where people get such imagination from and where inspiration and ideas continually come from.
